My name is Alpha Conteh, and I am a Student, Philanthropist and a  Soccer Athlete who discovered the transformative power of the sport at 5 years old. Shortly thereafter, I joined a travel team and my love for the game only grew. Soccer has taught me strength, and self-control.

During my first visit to my ancestral homeland of  Freetown, Sierra Leone, I gained a profound understanding of the limited resources available to many children. Upon returning to New York City, I was even more sensitive to the economic disparities I observed in my city. Motivated by this, I started the organization Soles for Goals.
